As an important form of stainless steel material, stainless steel coils are widely used in industries, construction, food and medical fields due to their unique alloy composition and processing properties. Its core performance advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1、 Excellent corrosion resistance performance
Core reason: Stainless steel coils contain alloying elements such as chromium (Cr ≥ 10.5%), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), etc., which can easily form a dense oxide film (Cr ? O3) on the surface, preventing the internal metal from coming into contact with corrosive media.
Acid and alkali resistance:
304 stainless steel (0Cr18Ni9): resistant to corrosion by nitric acid and organic acids (such as acetic acid), suitable for food processing and chemical containers.
316L stainless steel (00Cr17Ni14Mo2): Adding molybdenum element significantly improves the corrosion resistance of chloride ions (such as seawater and salt solutions), and is commonly used in marine engineering and medical equipment.

1. High strength and hardness
Martensitic stainless steel (such as 410, 420): Its strength and hardness can be improved through heat treatment, and its tensile strength can reach 500~1000 MPa. It is suitable for cutting tools, springs, and shaft parts.
Austenitic stainless steel (such as 304, 316): Although its strength at room temperature is lower than that of martensitic steel, its high temperature strength is stable (maintaining mechanical properties below 600 ℃), and it is commonly used in heat-resistant equipment (such as boilers and heat exchangers).
2. Processing formability
Good ductility: It can be made into various shapes (such as thin plates, strips, and pipes) through processes such as cold rolling, hot rolling, stamping, and bending, to meet complex structural requirements (such as automotive exhaust pipes and building decorative parts).
Good welding performance: Austenitic stainless steel is not prone to cracking during welding and is suitable for large-scale welding assembly (such as storage tanks and pipeline systems).
3、 High temperature and low temperature resistance performance
1. High temperature oxidation resistance
304 stainless steel: used at a temperature of about 870 ℃, with better oxidation resistance than carbon steel at high temperatures, used for furnace components and heating equipment.
310S stainless steel (0Cr25Ni20): resistant to high temperatures up to 1200 ℃, suitable for lining boiler combustion chambers and heat treatment furnaces.
2. Low temperature impact resistance
Austenitic stainless steel (such as 304L, 316L): maintains toughness and does not undergo brittle fracture in liquid nitrogen environment at -196 ℃, and is used for liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks and cryogenic pipelines.
4、 Hygiene and surface smoothness
1. Surface characteristics:
A mirror like smooth surface (roughness Ra ≤ 0.8 μ m) can be obtained through processes such as cold rolling and polishing, which is less likely to breed bacteria and adsorb impurities.
2. Application scenarios:
Food and pharmaceutical industry: used for manufacturing storage tanks, pipelines, and pharmaceutical equipment (compliant with FDA and GMP standards).
Kitchen equipment: sink, countertop, tableware, etc. (such as 304 stainless steel).
5、 Wear resistance and long lifespan
1. Wear resistance:
Ferritic stainless steel (such as 430) has higher surface hardness and better wear resistance than ordinary carbon steel, and is used for mechanical components (such as bearings and gears) and building decorative strips.
After surface hardening treatment (such as nitriding and coating), the wear resistance is further improved, making it suitable for high friction scenarios (such as mining machinery and papermaking equipment).
2. Service life:
