       The durability performance of stainless steel strip is good, which is closely related to its material characteristics, processing technology, and usage environment. This is reflected in the following aspects, and the durability in different scenarios will also be affected by certain factors:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance
       The core component of stainless steel strip is chromium (content ≥ 10.5%), which reacts with oxygen to form a dense chromium oxide passivation film on the surface, preventing further corrosion of the internal metal.
       Ordinary stainless steel (such as 304) can withstand the erosion of atmosphere, water, weak acid and alkali (such as rainwater, domestic sewage), and is suitable for humid environments;
       316 stainless steel with stronger corrosion resistance can resist chloride ion corrosion in seawater and chemical environments due to its molybdenum content, making it more durable in coastal and high salt spray areas.
2. High strength and wear resistance
       Stainless steel strip is strengthened through processes such as cold rolling and annealing (with a tensile strength of up to 500-1000MPa), and has a high surface hardness (such as 304 stainless steel strip with a hardness of about HV150-200). It is not easily deformed or worn during friction, stamping, bending or other processing or use processes, and is particularly suitable for scenarios that require repeated force (such as conveyor belts, springs, fasteners).
3. High temperature resistance and low temperature stability
       High temperature environment: 304 stainless steel can be used for a long time at ≤ 800 ℃, and 310S and other high-temperature stainless steel strips can withstand temperatures above 1200 ℃, making them less prone to oxidation and failure in equipment such as ovens and boilers;
       Low temperature environment: Stainless steel strip can maintain toughness at -270 ℃ (close to zero), suitable for low-temperature refrigeration equipment, polar engineering and other scenarios.
4. Anti fatigue and anti-aging
       The stainless steel strip that has undergone precision rolling has a uniform structure and is less prone to cracking during repeated bending and stretching (such as mechanical transmission belts and spring plates). Its fatigue life is much higher than that of ordinary carbon steel (such as the fatigue limit of 304 stainless steel strip, which is about 200-300 MPa); And it is not easy to age due to changes in ultraviolet radiation and humidity, and outdoor exposure can still maintain stable performance when using decks.
